Not unlike soldiers in combat, our veterans in need continue to “do battle” everyday. Impoverished or wandering the streets, cut off from the life that was promised by virtue of their service.
The goal of the Upstate Stand Down is to reach out to and empower these veterans and their families.
The Upstate Stand Down, organized and executed by a committed and diverse group of individuals, organizations that represent Upstate military personnel, veterans’ agencies, service agencies, non-profit organizations, community members, community volunteers and partners has addressed the critical and unmet needs of this embattled
population with remarkable success!
At past events individual lives were changed, hope renewed and a visible spirit of community caring and commitment fostered. Participants overwhelmingly indicated an improved quality of life resulting from the experience.
Please join us in helping those who have faithfully served our nation by picking up the banner October 13th, 2017 at the Spartanburg, S.C. Expo Center to let these veterans know they are not forgotten and that our freedom today is because of their sacrifices?
Thank you for your consideration to participate in this meaningful opportunity “to serve those who have served.”
