Parking & Directions
Free Venue Parking
  • Parking for the Theater and The Hall is available in the lower-level parking lot in the rear of the venue using the entrance off of Memorial Dr.
  • ADA parking is available in the Auditorium's upper lot in front of the Box Office and in the lower lot in front of the main entrance to The Hall.
  • Please keep scrolling to see the parking map and additional parking within walking distance of the Auditorium. As always, we highly recommend giving yourself plenty of extra time to allow for parking and entrance to the venue.
SMA lower parking lot is located facing Memorial Drive across from the old Krispy Kreme. See below additional parking nearby the venue.

  • Magnolia St. Parking Garage - 100 N. Church St.

The Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium is located 5 miles off I-85 at 385 North Church Street next to Wofford College.

For the quickest route to the Auditorium from I-85
  • Take exit 72 off of I-85 and go 5 miles.
  • Turn right on to Daniel Morgan Avenue (Vic Bailey Ford).
  • Go to the first traffic light.
  • Take a right on to North Church Street and the Auditorium will be on the right. Auditorium parking is located behind the facility.

ACCESSIBILITY

Ushers are available at every performance to ensure a welcoming, inclusive experience. However, SMA staff cannot assist with transfers to or from wheelchairs, seats, or vehicles; operate mobility devices; or provide personal attendant care. Guests using wheelchairs or mobility aids are encouraged to bring a companion to assist with entry, navigation, and seating. See below images of the ADA parking, elevator access locations, and stage views from The Theater ADA seating section.

Patron Drop-Off
Patrons with limited mobility may be dropped off at circle loop at the front entrance facing Church St. 
 
Transport Chairs
Courtesy wheelchairs for assisted transport are available to assist patrons from curbside to theatre seating.
 
Elevator Access
Elevator access to the main Theater can be found at the front of the building next to the box office windows, or in the lower parking lot at far-left entrance of The Hall.
Please Note: There is NO elevator access to the Theater or The Hall's balcony seating sections. If you require the use of any elevator, please avoid purchasing tickets on the balcony levels or contact the Box Office at 864-582-8107 to inquire about purchase ADA seating. 
 
Assistive Listening & American Sign Language Interpreters

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome inside the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. EVENT SECURITY

Permissible Items
Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium prohibits:
  • Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, firearms, pocket/utility knives or other cutting instruments.
  • This policy applies to every individual, even those with a concealed weapons permit (CCW).
  • Any off-duty law enforcement officer who is attending an event and carrying a weapon is required to check in with a law enforcement officer on duty at the Auditorium.
  • Smoking, vaping or the use of tobacco products inside SMA buildings is strictly prohibited.
  • Outside food and beverage will not be permitted inside. 
SMA Guests may be subject to: 
  • A bag check and/or electronic screening. Diaper bags are permitted only when the patron is accompanied by an infant.
  • Those refusing an inspection will be denied entry.  
  • Prohibited items discovered during a search must either be disposed of or returned to the patron’s vehicle. 
  • Alcohol, weapons, illegal drugs or other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate may be confiscated and/or presented to law enforcement.
  • Additional security restrictions may apply at the discretion of SMA management.

Purchasing 3rd Party Tickets
Third Party Ticket Purchasing
The ONLY AUTHORIZED SOURCE for tickets to the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium is TICKETMASTER.
  • Auditorium Box Office Staff are unable to assist with any ticketing issues that were NOT purchased directly from TICKETMASTER.
  • Third-party ticketing sources include but are not limited to the following -
    • Stubhub, Ticketor, Tickpick, Seat Geek, Vivid Seats, Eventbrite.
  • You can purchase your tickets at our box office on Monday-Friday from 9 am - 3 pm. We do not charge a service charge when you purchase from our ticket office.
  • Please reconfirm tickets with any third-party vendor before you come to show
  • NO scalping or resale of tickets on the auditorium property (do not buy tickets from somebody you do not know)

EVENT POLICIES & PROCEDURES FOR DANCE COMPETITIONS

Event Security Guidelines - Dance & Talent Competitions
Event security policies and procedures for ALL Dance & Talent Competitions are as follows:
 
  • ALL bags will be permitted inside the venue.
  • Each bag must go through the event security check and/or electronic screening upon entry.
  • All dancers and event guests/spectators must walk through one of our metal detection scanners before entering the building.
  • ALL outside food and beverage items are prohibited for entry and will be disposed of at the doors unless previous permissions have been secured by event organizers and venue management.
  • Food allergies, and medically necessary dietary restrictions are the only exceptions to SMA's outside food and beverage policy. Guests who require exemption from and/or exceptions to this policy must contact event organizers and/or venue management in advance to secure special permission to enter with outside food & beverage.
